Today the Solent Devils can confirm the signing of former Solent Junior Devil - Evan Crockford, who will go straight into tonight’s line up.

Crockford who currently is the Junior
Clubs record point scorer, amassed 100 goals and 47 assists during 42 games at U18s level from 2009-2012. Since then Crockford has continue to play the sport at recreational level whilst pursuing a professional career in Golf.

Speaking on this signing Head Coach Alex Murray has spoke of the goal threat Crockford brings “I have been an admirer of Evan ever since he was in the Junior set up. He always an age group below me, but I was constantly aware of him, and he chased down normally beat my goal scorer records. I have tried every year since I took over as coach to bring him on board, and now he has some to commit to the team, there was no hesitation. Evan is a clinical goal scorer who shoots the puck hard. He has good size and speed and will help our team offensively.”

Crockford will wear number #20 for the remainder of the season, and has already secured a shirt sponsor in D.S.Brickwork.

Tonight the Devils face-off against the Peterborough Phantoms 2 at 5pm, as both teams look to keep the pace at the top of the league. Doors open at 4:15pm.
