The best way to keep up to date with Solent Devils

Denis returns for Devils

1 year ago By Alex Murray

Tonight the Solent Devils are delighted to announce the signing of British Forward Ollie Denis.

The former Guildford Junior signs for his 4th season, which also includes a brief spell with the Bradford Bulls in the GMHL during the 2014-15 season. Speaking about his return, the Chichester born forward spoke of commitment to the developing Devils "It's great to be signing again for the Devils. It's great to be part of an ever improving side that has come along way since I first signed. One main reason for returning for a 4th season is there's a great desire to always improve each season. I like the teams philosophy going forward and makes me want to be a part of it".

The 5'8" winger has had injury set backs throughout his time with Solent, but now Denis is hoping to them behind him; "I hope now, that my injury problems that have affected nearly all of my senior career with the devils, are now behind me. There's nothing more frustrating for a player to always be watching the team play and not be a part of it. I do hope that I can really put myself out there this year and have a good season. My goals for the season are to help the team push higher up the league and to push myself to be more effective on and off the ice. I hope this year that we can push harder into the playoffs".

Speaking on his latest signing, Head Coach Alex Murray spoke of his desire to see Denis return "when we first brought Ollie on board, he was the Captain of one of the biggest junior set ups in the south and averaging well over 2 points a game. Unfortunately Ollie has been savaged by injuries which has effected him physically and mentally, seeing him working hard over the summer I'm confident the worst is behind him, and you will start to see the real Ollie Denis next season. I will expect a more consistent performer who can chip in with goals as well. Ollie understands what's needed this season and I'm sure he won't let us down".

The 20 year old will wear the number #19 jersey this season and is available to sponsor. The club are delighted to announce a new shirt design for the new campaign and details will be release of this in the next week. Please contact if you are interested in being apart of the Devils sponsorship family.
