Chico' who has iced over 180 games for he Devils will enter his 8th season with the club having originally joined back in 2010. Cole was apart of the league winning team in 2012 and last season was voted by pears and coaches as the best goaltender in the league.
Speaking about his return Cole spoke of the challenges that lie ahead "I feel very positive as always signing for Solent. It's always a good challenge for me playing here and now onto the next challenge of contending for the league in NIHL2.
It was a pretty easy choice to stay at Solent for another year no matter what league we were in. I like the setup and I feel very comfortable playing there which is why I can play to my full ability."
Cole who has averaged over 90% save percentage in his last 4 seasons with the Devils continued by setting himself and the team goals for the season ahead " My personal goal is to win us every game to ultimately win the league. I don't know if I could better last year by getting the all star goalie but as previously said I have my eyes on the league title."
Head coach Alex Murray has spoke of his delight at securing Cole "every knows how good a goalie Chico is, he gives confidence to our whole team. Chico keeps the team in games and will win you 4-5 games a season on his own. There are not many goalies like Chico in our league, and we have to be confident in every game with him in net."
The Guernsey born shot stopper will continue to wear his traditional number 1 jersey. If you are interested in sponsoring Chico for the 2017-18 campaign please contact email@example.com
